Karen Merson, Principal of Merson and Associates

Karen Merson, is an Organizational Development Consultant specializing in areas of change management and organizational effectiveness.

As a consultant to Fortune 500 companies, small businesses and non profit organizations, Ms Merson works with all levels of management to identify and address issues in both the organization’s culture and its systems to bring about the desired change. She works closely with managers to develop long and short range strategic plans, with a focus on systems redesign and management training, designed to facilitate the change process.

Ms. Merson is a skilled trainer who designs and delivers training programs to improve organizational effectiveness. She customizes training programs in team building, communication, conflict resolution, cross functional communication and action learning. She also designs and delivers management development courses in effective leadership.

Ms. Merson’s client list includes PSE&G, Oxford Healthcare, Nortel Networks, United Nations Development Programs, Ernst & Young, Scholastic Inc and US Pharmacopoeia. She designed and delivered management training seminars for the American Management Association, and since 1995 serves on the faculty of New York University where she teaches courses in Organizational Behavior, Corporate Culture and Organizational Learning. She is the 1997 recipient of the Excellence in Teaching Award from NYU.

Ms. Merson holds an MBA in Organizational Behavior and Development from George Washington University. She is currently completing a Ph.D. in Human and Organizational Development from Fielding Graduate University.
